Pam and Larry Harley bought their first rental property shortly into their marriage, over the years they continued owning rentals and helped their real estate clients find tenants for their rental properties. They purchased their first family rental in the Auburn area in 2010 and worked with their two daughters cleaning and painting for their new tenant. We found that we all enjoyed preparing the home for our new tenant which then led to the last 10 years of managing rentals. During those 10 years our portfolio of rentals grew to 15 properties which Pam has personally managed, with our daughter Liz helping Pam over the last 3 years. We have for the most part acquired long term tenants who appreciate our timely response on any repairs and who consider their rental as their permanent home. We actively work to cultivate that trust and loyalty. We have good relationships with the property homeowners’ associations because of our hands on responsive style of management. Pam and Larry are both Real Estate Brokers and have been in Real Estate for over 30 years and in that time have worked closely with our clients when they purchase investment properties and after the purchase is complete, we have then found them suitable tenants. With our approach your property will be treated as if it is our own and we will work hard to find just the right tenant who will love, appreciate, and take care of their rental.
Pam started a successful computer sales business in Santa Clara in 1985, the year she and Larry met and had spent many years before then working in sales. After she and Larry married in 1987 they moved to the Auburn area in 1990. The computer business was very success however she chose to close the business and join Larry in Real Estate and in 2000 they purchased a successful real estate company and became a Team not only in their personal lives but in business as well. When Pam and Larry decided to invest in their own rentals Pam found she really enjoyed fixing them up and placing tenants in those properties and then managing them. What started out as 1 rental property in Auburn has grown to a much higher number of rentals in Auburn, Grass Valley, Lake of the Pines and Citrus Heights. She has personally managed each rental while also being a successful Real Estate Broker. In her personal time she has taught Sunday school for over 23 years and continues to do so and loves it, and she also volunteers as the Head Chaplin of Placer County Juvenile Hall and leads a Good News Club on Tuesdays to share the word of God to the Kids in the community. She also is very involved in the Firebelles which is a woman's organization in Lake of the Pines and even served as President for 2 years. She is looking forward to getting to know each new owner and tenant that decides our management company is right for them.
Larry has been in the real estate industry since 1986, about a year after he and Pam met. They married in 1987 and decided to move to the Auburn area, Lake of the Pines to be exact, in 1990. He also that same year got his Brokers license and continued in Real Estate in the area and was very successful at it. In 2000 the opportunity arose for him to buy the Real Estate company he had been working at for many years as the owner was retiring. After discussing the purchase with Pam they decided not only would they purchase the company but Pam would join him in Real Estate and the Harley Team was created. He found that working with Pam was the perfect match as they then created a "one stop shop" for their clients which in turn peaked his interest in other areas. In 2010 he decided it was time to purchase a rental property as it would be a good investment for the family, little did he know how right he would be. Both he and Pam purchased their first rental and enlisted their 2 younger daughters Liz and Bev to help fix up the property so it could be rented out. He and Pam then purchased multiple other rental properties throughout the next few years and he found that the financial aspect really intrigued him. He then started helping investors to acquire their first properties, exchange properties, find and placed tenants in those properties, IRA funding acquisitions and note financing and became very skilled in those areas. His business model that has been very successful and his family follows is a hands on model of honesty, competency, volunteering in the community, and having the knowledge of such a variety of options that when talking to him or the family you really feel they are a "one stop shop".
Liz was adopted at birth by Pam and Larry Harley in 1989, and grew up watching her parents in the Real Estate field and being raised in sales. She however decided to go a different path and chose to enlist in the Marine Corps in 2007 and serve her country. After serving honorably and being medically discharged in 2010 she started pursing a degree in Criminal Justice. She moved to NYC in 2012 and while there finished her degree and worked for Administration for Children's Services in their Juvenile justice initiative program that helped to decrease recidivisms rates in juvenile offenders. She then decided to move back to CA and into Lake of the Pines, where life shifted her plans and she ended up working as an assistant for a property manager in Grass Valley and she fell in love with the field. She wasn't completely sure that that was what she wanted to do with her life and so she left that company and spent 3 years for a company and through hard work helped to develop an inside sales department for that company and she found she actually loved sales. She left that company in 2018 and joined Pam and Larry's Real Estate team and worked as their tech person, and also their drone photographer. While Pam and Larry had an amazing team, with Liz on the team they found she added another layer of support to their clients, and they worked very well together. She is excited for the business venture and to be fully working in Property Management once again and can't wait to work closely with owners and their rental properties and finding just the right tenants for them.
